If you have a reseller package, use WHM to manage your accounts and those of your customers. This way you reach WHM via a secure connection while maintaining your own domain:

If you do not have a reseller package, you only use cPanel to manage your hosting account. This way you can reach cPanel through a secure connection while maintaining your own domain:
