How do I install Laravel?

Laravel is a popular PHP framework used by many developers worldwide and supported by Neostrada. You install Laravel yourself through Composer, or you use Softaculous, which is included with each hosting package. By installing Laravel via Softaculous, you also easily set up automatic backups.

Steps

Step 1. Log in to cPanel.

Step 2. Under Software, click Softaculous Apps Installer

Step 3. In the left menu, click the search bar, enter Laravel and click Laravel.

Step 4. Click Install Now. You will see the following fields:

  • Choose Protocol. Choose here to use http: // or https: //. We recommend using https:// because it will protect your connection to your website.
  • Choose Domain. Choose the domain name to which you want to install Laravel.
  • In Directory. If you want to install Laravel in a separate folder, enter the desired name for that folder.

Step 5. Click Advanced Options. Here you can set the auto backup by setting the frequency of backups under Automated Backups. With Backup Rotation, you specify how many backups should be kept.

Step 6. Click Install to start the installation.
