Frequently asked questions

How can I make my whois information anonymous?

As of 2018, this is no longer necessary. With the introduction of the GDPR, anonymous holders have become redundant. Domain registries hide this information by default these days.

We actually advise to stop using our anonymous registrant or stop creating your own because many domain registrars nowadays require to work with valid data in connection with takedown requests and such.

For .be, .nl and .eu domains, among others, the use of an anonymous holder is even prohibited and your domain can be blocked by the domain extension publisher if the data is incorrect and this is not adjusted in time (they will contact you first for this).

Why do I get a 500 error when trying to change my domain holder information?

This is mostly caused when the domain itself is not registered at Neostrada but somewhere else. The dashboard option can’t make this change then en will give you a 500 error back. However, if the domain is registered at Neostrada and you still get this error, please contact us.
